Being a STAY is a lifestyle. We’ve got the albums, the light stick, and probably a photocard binder (or three). But what happens when you’ve officially run out of money for official merch but your heart is still screaming for more Skzoo in your life? You make it yourself.

I’ve been there. Staring at my bias’s face on a computer screen, thinking, “I need that on a shirt right now.” So, I raided my craft bin, made a mess of my kitchen table, and came up with eight DIY Stray Kids crafts that are actually doable. No judgment if you’re not the next Picasso—I promise these are beginner-friendly. Grab your glue gun and let’s get crafting. 🙂

1. Customized Skzoo Denim Jacket

This is probably my favorite thing I’ve ever made. I had this old denim jacket sitting in my closet, and it was so boring. Ever wondered how to make a basic outfit scream “Stay”? Slap a hand-painted Skzoo on the back.

What you’ll need:

  • A denim jacket (thrifted is perfect!)
  • Fabric paint or acrylic paint with a fabric medium
  • Cardboard
  • Paintbrushes (a variety of sizes)
  • Chalk or a fabric pencil

Let’s get to work:

  1. Pick your Skzoo. I started with Dwaekki because, well, Changbin. But you do you.
  2. Prep the area. Slip that piece of cardboard inside the jacket. This stops the paint from bleeding through to the other side.
  3. Sketch it out. Lightly draw your design onto the denim with chalk. Messed up? Just wipe it off and try again.
  4. Time to paint. This is where the magic happens. Don’t stress about perfection. I usually do two thin coats for a solid color. Patience is key here, otherwise you’ll end up with a gloopy mess (speaking from experience :/).
  5. Let it dry. Follow the instructions on your paint, but leaving it overnight is usually a safe bet.

2. “I.N-spired” Light Stick Phone Grip

We all know the official light stick is too precious (and heavy) to take everywhere. But our love for it isn’t. This project takes five minutes and makes taking selcas 100% more fun.

Grab these supplies:

  • A clear phone grip (you can get a pack of these online for cheap)
  • A tiny printout of a Stray Kids logo or a mini Skzoo
  • Mod Podge (or any clear-drying glue)
  • Scissors

The steps are easy:

  1. Cut to size. Trim your little printout so it fits perfectly inside the clear phone grip.
  2. Apply the magic. Put a tiny dab of Mod Podge on the back of the paper cutout and stick it to the flat base of the phone grip.
  3. Let it slide. Once it’s dry, just screw or stick the grip onto your phone case.
  4. Boom. Instant Stay phone bling. Every time I look at my phone, I get a little serotonin boost. IMO, it’s the little things that count.

3. Lino Keyring

Seungmin’s puppy, Lino (or any of the kids’ pets, really), is just too cute to ignore. This is a simple sewing project, even if you’re a beginner.

Supplies:

  • Felt in the right colors (brown, white, black, etc.)
  • Embroidery floss
  • A needle
  • Stuffing (poly-fil)
  • A keyring

How to craft it:

  1. Draw a pattern. Don’t overthink it. Just draw a simple dog shape on paper and cut it out.
  2. Trace and cut. Pin the paper pattern to your felt and cut out two identical pieces.
  3. Sew it up. Use a simple running stitch or a whip stitch to sew around the edges. Leave a small gap at the bottom.
  4. Stuff it. Gently push the stuffing into the hole to make it puffy. Don’t overstuff or it’ll be lumpy!
  5. Close it up. Sew the gap closed.
  6. Add the face. Use black thread to stitch on a little nose and some eyes. You can also add a tiny felt tongue for extra cuteness.
  7. Attach the ring. Sew or loop a ribbon through the top and attach it to the keyring.

4. Stray Kids Quote Acrylic Magnets

I have a thing for putting quotes on my fridge. There’s something about reading “You make me stay” every time I grab a snack that just makes my day. These are ridiculously easy.

What you need:

  • Clear acrylic discs or flat marbles (from a dollar store craft section)
  • Mod Podge
  • Small printouts of your favorite lyrics or quotes
  • Scissors
  • Super glue
  • Small round magnets

Instructions:

  1. Print and cut. Print out a sheet of tiny SKZ lyrics in a fun font. Cut them into circles slightly smaller than your acrylic discs.
  2. Glue it down. Put a thin layer of Mod Podge on the back of the acrylic disc and stick your paper cutout to it. Smooth out any bubbles.
  3. Seal the deal. Paint another thin layer of Mod Podge over the back of the paper to seal it. Let it dry completely.
  4. Magnetize. Super glue a magnet to the back.
  5. Stick it. Now your Hyunjin wisdom is displayed proudly on your fridge.

5. Painted Canvas Shoes

Shoes are a blank canvas (pun intended). I had a pair of plain white canvas sneakers that were looking a little sad, so I gave them a SKZ makeover.

Gather this:

  • Canvas shoes
  • Fabric paint and a fine-tip paintbrush
  • Tape
  • Pencil

Step-by-step:

  1. Plan your design. Are you going to do the official compass logo? A bunch of Skzoos? The album names? I went with the “NOEASY” logo on one shoe and a Wolf Chan on the other.
  2. Tape off. If you don’t want paint on the rubber sole, use tape to cover the edges.
  3. Sketch lightly. Use a pencil to very lightly draw your design on the canvas. It rubs off easily if you make a mistake.
  4. Paint carefully. Use thin coats of paint. Thicker paint can crack. Be patient and let each coat dry.
  5. Wear them with pride. Just make sure you heat-set the paint with an iron (follow the paint instructions) before you wear them in the rain!

6. Easy Seungmin Mood Board

We all have that one bias that just hits differently. For me, it’s Seungmin’s smile. I made a little mood board for my desk and it’s honestly my favorite piece of decor.

You’ll need:

  • A small corkboard or a piece of foam board
  • Printed photos of your bias
  • Washi tape
  • Mini clothespins
  • Scissors
  • Maybe some stickers or magazine cutouts

Here’s how:

  1. Print your faves. Gather a bunch of selcas, fancam screengrabs, and official photos.
  2. Arrange them. Play around with the layout on your board. Don’t just stick them in straight lines—make it dynamic! Overlap them a little.
  3. Secure them. Use the washi tape to tape the corners down, or use the mini clothespins if you have a corkboard to pin into.
  4. Add flair. Throw in some stickers or cut out letters from a magazine to spell out their name.
  5. Display it. Prop it up on your desk. Instant happiness.

7. 3RACHA Candle Jars

I love candles. And I love 3RACHA. So why not combine them? This is a great way to upcycle old jars.

Supplies:

  • Empty, clean glass jars (salsa jars work great)
  • Soy wax flakes
  • A candle wick
  • Fragrance oil (optional)
  • Printouts of the 3RACHA logo or members’ names
  • Mod Podge

Let’s make it:

  1. Prep the jar. Use Mod Podge to stick your 3RACHA logo cutout onto the jar. You can put it on the outside or the inside. If you put it inside, make sure it’s fully sealed with Mod Podge so it doesn’t catch fire!
  2. Melt the wax. Follow the instructions on your wax flakes. Usually, it’s a double boiler situation.
  3. Set the wick. Use a dab of hot glue or a wick sticker to stick the wick to the bottom center of the jar.
  4. Pour the wax. Once the wax is melted (and you’ve added your fragrance), carefully pour it into the jar. Hold the wick in place with a pencil or chopstick.
  5. Let it cure. Let it sit overnight. Trim the wick, light it up, and feel the 3RACHA vibes flow through you while you study or write.

8. The “Han-quake” Confetti Balloons

Okay, this one is silly but so fun. Inspired by Han’s iconic energy. I made these for a comeback party and they were a hit.

What you need:

  • Clear balloons
  • Confetti (in SKZ colors like gold, red, and black)
  • A funnel
  • Helium or air pump (or just your lungs, if you’re brave)

How to do it:

  1. Funnel time. Use the funnel to pour the confetti into each balloon. Don’t fill it too much—you want it to float around.
  2. Inflate. Blow up your balloons (helium makes them float, air is easier).
  3. Tie it off. Give it a good knot.
  4. Shake it up. Now rub the balloon on your hair to create static, or just shake it like crazy. The confetti will stick to the sides and dance around inside. It’s pure Han energy. Instant serotonin.

So, there you have it. Eight ways to make your Stay heart happy without completely draining your bank account. FYI, my favorite is the denim jacket, but I’m pretty proud of how my Lino keychain turned out, too.

I’d love to know which one you’re going to try first. Or if you have another SKZ craft idea, drop it in the comments! We’re all here to support each other’s creative (and slightly obsessive) sides. Happy crafting, Stays! 💖
